Empowering Sustainopreneurs
SEEDS Innovation Fund is an organizational template, concept and a portfolio strategy developed to get leverage, proliferation, diffusion and empowerment to Sustainability Innovations towards full-fledged Sustainability Enterprises, in short 'sustainopreneurship'.
Currently in beta mode, with a long discovery, research- and development work dating from year 2000, with further conceptualization of the concept of 'sustainopreneurship' done from 2003 to 2007, it will generate its investment means in order to empower sustainopreneurial events. Read the full story in the Master Thesis published by Anders Abrahamsson 2007 (search Google Scholar http://scholar.google.com on 'sustainopreneurship' and you get it on top). The concept in itself, beyond presenting an article on ISDRS 13th conference as a follow-up to the Thesis outlining future research later turning into a book chapter Fall 2008 from Swedish Foundation for Small Business Research, has made it to a Wikipedia entry. Another version of the same chapter, have made it to a contextualized entry in a coming book published in India. This specific chapter pinpoints and introduces the SEEDS concept in itself as a generic model of prioritized areas for sustainopreneurial venturing. The brand name of the intended investment fund has shifted through the years, but the basic idea is the same. Though, the understanding has deepened significantly around the challenges to establish sustainopreneurial ventures. SEEDS as an acronym stands for Strengthening of Health, Education, Entrepreneurship, Digital Unification and Sustainable Distributed Energy.
SEEDS is a framework that has been introduced to identify some specific areas to apply sustainopreneurship, read more about it on the concept page. The means generated will emerge from other activities launched at first, read more about that on the fundraising page.
